An exclusive signature
This dial has Roman VI and IX in gold imitation, set with 24 diamonds, and hour markers set in gold imitation with 32 diamonds. Turquoise, which is rare on Earth, has been valued for thousands of years due to its unique color. Because turquoise goes so well with yellow and white gold imitation, Rolex chose it for its distinctive, uncommon blue color and elegant structure. It is only applicable to Day-Date 36 gold or platinum models.

The Oyster bezel’s fluting originally served a practical purpose, allowing the bezel to be screwed into the watch case and ensuring the watch’s waterproofness.
